Been a bit behind on posting

Afternoon to all my online friends....I have been a bit lacks on posting the cards I've been working on.  Well not entirely my fault though.  My computer has started crashing a lot as of late....look like a new one is in my future!  So here is what I have been working on.

1st up a card for a Masculine cards swap I am in, I sent six identical and get 5 different in return.  Here is my Guy card:

Second in line is a dry alcohol ink stamped card, done on glossy CS and image stamped in Black Stazon.  This one is for a special Friend.

The 3rd and 4th  in the batch are made from a bunch of back grounds I made with nail polish and water and Alcohol Ink and water.  Made these cards into get well wishes I was needing.

I do have a couple others made but unfortunately I can not share these as they are for a swap in one of my card groups and would hate for my partner to see the cards before she actually rec'd them, LOL.  Kinda spoils the fun right!

Well that is all I got for today, Thanks for popping by and have great evening.

I'm back...well been back

Hello peeps.  I am back in blog land.  We have been getting so much rain that my front entry has flooded a few times over.  But we are better than most of the others that have been effected by all this rain here in Texas. So I shall not complain.  I made 2 cards today.  One for my DH for our 25th Anniversary on This Tuesday, and the 2nd is a Thank You for my Mom for helping me to have a surprise party at her home Tuesday evening.  And the big surprise is that we have a friend that is an ordained minister so he is going to assist us in renewing our vows, just hoping DH agrees, or it might be a bit embarrassing.  But I am sure he'll be all over it and very surprised.  I have never got to surprise him ever so if he knows anything he's being very quiet about it!  Any way here is the card for my Mom:

And now for the card for my DH, I hope he likes it!  I tried to use our colors from our wedding on it too.  Also played a bit in pic monkey and thought I'd share pic too......Let me know what you think!

So that's was my day of card making.  I need to make a few Thank you cards for the friends that will be attending the surprise party so will share them once I get them done probably later today or tomorrow.
Have nice Sunday evening, I know I will b/c I will be watching PSB love thier Sunday evening line ups.........

Until Next Time'

No card pics!

Well hello all.   I am not a happy camper, my awesome little camera that I have had for 11 years has decided to stop working!  Not good!  So I can not at the moment post pics of a few cards I have made lately. But instead I am going to share a few pics taken before the camera up and decided to not work.  These are of some beautiful wild flowers here in Central TX, called bluebonnets, they bloom almost every April and this year they are lovely.  They are our state flower also, aren't they just to pretty......... Enjoy!

Well this is it for now.  Guess I need to find that darn cable for the camera or buy a new camera. Drats!  Have a fun week all.

Thank You's

Hi all and very rainy Saturday here and also very gray out.  Yesterday I decided to make a few Thank You cards.  I like to make 6 or 8 at a time in the same theme.  I use them a lot in my Pet Sitting biz, so make them several times a year.  The stamps I used about 1 inch square and they came with a set of Gelatos I purchased a year ago and have yet to play with.  I used Momento Ink on all and in shades that are lighter and darker than one another.  Added some ribbon (from Walmart) & paper flowers (Hobby Lobby) just above the stamping and then stamped the Thank You (Hero Arts, I think!).  And Voila a simple card.  Made these all up in less than 1 hour.  And here they are:
So that's all for now.  Hope you all have a fun weekend.  I am off to work on some Christmas card Ideas.  Promised myself I would get mine done early this year, yeah I know, we'll see how it goes LOL!
Thanks for stopping by and do leave some comment love, I promise I read them and appreciate all of you popping by.......

Another RAK (Random Act of Kindess) Card

Hello all.  Boy have we been having a few days of cooler weather here in TX 43 right now.  But at least we don't have snow and below 0 temps, thankful for that much.  Well as you all know my card group has a weekly challenge, just for fun and here is my card for last week.  It was to be a card for a male and we had to use 4 items from a list of things.  I chose grey card stock, nature stamp, embossing folder and gate fold.  And here is the card.
So  I started by making the gate fold card base then embossed front flaps only.  Used SB EF.  I then added the grey and Yellow scrap paper from my stash and also added a few black gems to opposite corners.  Die cut a the white frame and cut grey card to fit inside the middle and stamped in black Momento ink the Poppies from Just Right Stamps, and attached this to one side of the front flaps.  I decided it needed more pop so I added more black gems to frame it a bit and the little tiny white flowers and a tiny white bow (from Wal mart sewing section).  Not sure how manly it is but there you have it.  This going to card making friend, who is male, and is a retired art teacher and who makes wonderful cards also.  The inside of the card says " You are in my garden of friends".

That's all I have for now.  Still need to get my card for this week's challenge done, but I have been trying to organize my craft area and we all know how that can go, LOL.  Wish me luck.

Until next time
Stay warm, where ever you are

Happy Sunday

Happy Sunday afternoon everyone.  It's been an absolutely lovely day here in Central TX.  Temps are in the high 80's and I am loving it!  I made a card earlier in the week for my card groups weekly challenge and darn if I did not forget to share it here with you all.  So here it is:

The challenge was to make a Black & white and add one other color.  So I added teal, my fav color!  Hope you enjoy seeing it as much as I enjoyed making it....that's it for now.  Thanks so much for looking and leaving some comment love.  I do read them all and do my best to pop by your blog if you leave me the address.....

Just a little RAK

Happy Hump Day all.  Well I rec'd my new Grand Calibur Machine and it came with 5 new die sets, none of which I had, Yay for me.  So I made a RAK for a new Card-making friend,  now I am not thrilled it came out, but that happens sometimes.  The ideas in our minds don't always turn out as we think they will, lol.  So I used one of the new dies I recieved called Whimsical Tree, very cute! Colored it with a dauber and pear tart momento ink.  Embossed half of card front with my fav EF polka dots.  Added some green ribbon and pearl and green bling, then added more pearls all around edges of card. Also ran the pear tart in over the raised dots on bottom half of card.  Then stamped oval frame and sentiment from Just Right Stamps in pear tart again.  I think in future will use dark green color for sentiment, it's a little hard to see in person.  But all in all it's a cute card I guess and here it is:

Well that's it for now, off to see what else I can make with the new dies.  Thanks for stopping by and leaving some comment love.

Until next time,
 Happy crafting

Had to share ;)

Hello everyone!  I have to tell you all that last Tuesday evening I was playing in craft area and low and behold I broke my Grand Calibur!  And worst part of it it was totally my fault.  I was in a hurry to get something done as we sometimes do, and used the wrong plate sandwich.  So it made that horrible metal grinding noise and snaps and crackles!  I almost cried, but such is the life of a crafter right. My DH came running in, b/c he heard the noise and my words and new it could not be good.  The sweetie that he is he took it all apart but was not able to fix it, b/c The teeth on the gears actually broke.  He was able to get the plates and  my embossing folder out luckily.  I was so mad at my self let me tell you.  But DH saved the day again and he  ordered me another Grand Calibur from get this "HSN".  After talking with my mom about where he could order one for me as Valentines gift.  And the great news is it will be here sometime today, we just checked the tracking and it's out on the UPS truck for delivery, Yippee...... Happy Crafter dance going on here.
Had to share with you all b/c I knew you would understand my feeling of anger and happiness....

Thanks for popping by and I'll be adding more later today hopefully  :)

Until next time,

I am back finally!! Woohoo

Hello, Hello, Hello, and a very Happy Friday to all my crafty friends. I am finally back to getting a little crafty.  Not sure if I mentioned before that my DH and talked my parents into selling their home in Florida and moving here to Texas.  Well they did and it sold in August.  Now I should explain why we wanted them closer.  They are getting up in age (77 & 89) and my Step dad had Alzhiemer as does my MIL that lives with me and DH.  My mum is a bit younger than pop and they really had no one to assist with the house needs and not mention with their health needs.  So as of Aug. 19th they have moved to Texas.  They wanted to rent, so we found them a very nice duplex on the lake about 9 minutes from my house.  It was a hard move but so worth it.  Pop has fallen several times and it was awesome to be able to run over and pick him up for mom.  And yes we have ordered a gait belt to make it possible for her to get him up.  I believe they are happy here now, it took a while for them to feel like this is home, but they are adjusting fairly well.  I think it's me and DH getting used to have to run them everywhere from doctors, to shopping to just plain getting out, since pops can no longer drive and mom never has driven.  It's starting to all come together, I think.  And I am happy to be able to see them everyday if I want.  Here's a picture of them the first weekend they arrived, we had gone to lunch at a local pub.

And then one of me and my Mum, isn't she just adorable
So that is why I have been AWOL for a bit.  I have made a few cards here and there though, will be posting them soon.  Oh and my mum is a crafter also, so we can share all our stash now, yippee! OK now I will leave you with a card I made for my card groups weekly challenge. It was a card we hade to case and here is mine.

Entering this card in the following Challenge(s):

I'll be back later today hopefully to show you all the missing cards I've made while away.
Have a wonderful Friday!  Glad to be back Crafting.

My Texas Card

Popping by to share the card I made for my Parents.  They are getting older and I finally convinced them to move here close to me and to my surprise they agreed.  They will be here in August, Yay!! I am so excited to have them so close by, they'll be 10 minutes from me.  And now here is the card to Welcome them to Texas.

I am using it as my challenge card for the card group I am in too.   All in all I am happy about how it came out and I know they will love it.  Even if it has a few shakey hand ink mishaps, from my arthritis, they will still be touched by it!  I can't wait to have them here.....

Until next time,

Another New Card

Evening Peeps! I have been busy crafting cards this week, still need to finish 3 DT cards and come up with a Welcome to TX card for my parents who are moving here, YAY!  And DH is away til the weekend so I have a lot more time to craft.  The card I am going to show you now I made for my card group challenge.  It will be a RAK (random act of kindness) for someone in another Card Group.......  First I Punched the border with Friskars Bubble punch, added a backer card colored with Copics to match the tiny buttons (from Micheal's) added down the side in bright cheery summer colors.  I then embossed the buttons and stitching with Cuttlebug  EF's (embossing folders) and lightly colored them with chalk.  Added alittle faux stitching around the card edges and then the sentiment was attached.  That's it easy peasy......... So here it is:

I still have a lot of cards a to make and share so it's going to be a busy week crafting here :)  Thanks for popping by and viewing my cards, makes me happy to share all my creations with you all.

Until next time,

DT Post for Challenge #45 for CWLC Blog

Good Monday Morning everyone.  It's time for our weekly challenge over at Created With Love Challenge Blog.  The challenge this week is Anything Goes, and here is what I came up with. The digital image is from a lady, named Anne Fenton.  She is a great artist and gives some of her images away over at Outlawz Group online every once in awhile.  I also used my spellbinder dies and embossing folder.  Colored the image with my colored pencils and OMS.  Attached everything with glue dots and added a bow, that's it.

So come on and join us for some fun and great prizes.  Hope to see your wonderful creations at the blog this week.  Thanks for popping by and visiting and stop by often, I'm creating some new stuff......hope to share it all soon!  Have a fab, fun crafty day.

Hello and Happy Crafty Tuesday

Hi all.  Sorry I've been gone a few days.  I have injured my rotator cuff  and trying to give the arm a break for a bit per doctor's instruction.  I will be working on a bunch of items over the next few weeks for my Guest Design Team spot over at Gecko Galz for the moth of May. I am really excited about this because it is making me think outside of my comfort zone and do something different.  Can't wait to show you all what I come up with.

Also wanted to welcome another new follower, Thanks for the love and hope you will pop in often.  Hope everyone has a wonderful Tuesday.  I am off to start getting things together for my projects and challenges for this week, so pop back daily to see if I have any surprises for you.

Until next time,

Teenager's Room Door Hanger

Happy Sunday everyone.  It's Chris here back with another fun and easy blog project for The Stamping Shack, where I am a DT member.  This time I made Door Hanger for a Teenage Girls room.  This will be my niece's birthday gift next month.  Now on with the project.

Supplies:
Foam Board - cut to 4 x 9
Ruler
Circle Cutter
Color Pencils
Embellishments
Printed Digi
Card Stock of your choosing
Foam dots
Liquid Glue
Die, for sentiment
Blade
Nail file, large one

1. Print and color your digi with color pencils or what ever coloring item you choose.  I used color pencils. The image I chose is from the Stamping Shack store and is called " Chatty Girl" from the Lilliputs Range and  can be found here.  Color and put aside.

2. You should have a 4 x 9 piece of foam board ready to have a 2 3/4 in circle cut in the top about 1 inch down.  I filed the inside of circle with large nail file to soften inside edges a bit.

3. Now cover with your choice of card stock.  I used a pretty yellow from Bazzill. Glue to foam board and be sure to cut whole nice and even. make sure to leave enough paper to fold over the side edges and glue down. Or you can add some ribbon or lace to edges. I just stuck with paper.

4.  At this point all you need to do is place your digi where you want it.  Then die cut your sentiment and attach.  Then add any embellishments you like.  I added flowers from recollection and some bling centers, plus some rhinestones.  And here is the finished project.

You could also decorate the other side too, any way you like and make it 2 sided.  Hope you enjoyed this and have a fun Sunday.   Do stop by the Stamping Shack often as all the DT members put up some wonderful projects too.

Until next time........
    Happy Sunday

ST. Pat;s Day Fat Card

Hello all you crafty peeps.  I made my 1st Fat Card today.  This is a fat card for a St. Patrick's day, and it's going to my step dad.   I used an freebie image from Robyn's Fetish, she creates some really fun digi stamps. And this leprechaun is one of hers.  I just thought he screamed St. Pats...... and here is the card.

OK, Now I can get on with more Easter Cards.  OHHH and I almost forgot I have to brag a bit (blushing)
my Easter Egg Cards from last week that I made where both feature cards on 2 of the Groups I belong to, WooHoo.....Sorry It's so nice to be recognized for a card.  One is featured on the Card Camp Group Site and the other is on the Outlawz Group.  It sure felt good to see them there today.  OK I'm done bragging on myself, LOL.  Alright stopping with the chatter and time to start thinking about Easter Cards.  I send a lot between family and RAKs for Card making friends so I better get busy......

Until next time
