Been a bit behind on posting

Afternoon to all my online friends....I have been a bit lacks on posting the cards I've been working on.  Well not entirely my fault though.  My computer has started crashing a lot as of late....look like a new one is in my future!  So here is what I have been working on.

1st up a card for a Masculine cards swap I am in, I sent six identical and get 5 different in return.  Here is my Guy card:

Second in line is a dry alcohol ink stamped card, done on glossy CS and image stamped in Black Stazon.  This one is for a special Friend.

The 3rd and 4th  in the batch are made from a bunch of back grounds I made with nail polish and water and Alcohol Ink and water.  Made these cards into get well wishes I was needing.

I do have a couple others made but unfortunately I can not share these as they are for a swap in one of my card groups and would hate for my partner to see the cards before she actually rec'd them, LOL.  Kinda spoils the fun right!

Well that is all I got for today, Thanks for popping by and have great evening.

Shake, Shake, Shake :)

Hi friends and a very happy Sunday to you all.  It's a beautiful day here, hot and sunny. Weather man is calling for 99 and sunny for the coming week, I love it!   So now for some crafty goodness.  I decided after seeing some really cool shaker cards that I was going to have to try one of these.  I know, I know been making cards for so many years and never attempted one of these shaker cards.  Well after a few hours of watching videos and searching Pinterest. I decided it was time to give it a go.  I used a Sizzix stamp (flowers), I colored on some gelotos  sprayed with water and moved it around with a small paint brush then let it dry and stamped the image.  Set it aside.  Then I die cut the Spellbinder die that best fit to show the image.  I used a piece of foam and traced the die shape , hand cut it out to fit the outside edge of die cut.  Foam was a bit to thick for my liking would use fun foam next time.   Attached clear film to back  prior to adding foam then added some seed beads and sequins.  Then when all was set up enough I attached to the card base and added some flowers that I had in my stash.  This card is for a sweet older lady who will be 103 end of next week.  Hoping she will like it.  I am kinda happy with it, will change the foam type used for sure next time, so I can die cut it too, the foam I had on had was way to thick to die cut, live and learn I guess......Here is the card:

Please let me know what you think and if you would of done anything different, I am still learning how to make these pretty Shaker Cards, they are fun to make! Thanks for popping by and have a fun Sunday.

I am entering this card in the following challenge:

I rec'd some Happy Mail

Hi everyone!  I have been busy visiting with my little Sister last week and over the weekend.  We had not seen each other in 11 yrs.  We talk on the phone and email all the time but it is not the same as actually seeing her.  I had a blast and miss having her here now! But she has a family to be with too.  Great visit though :)

Now for some fun stuff. I received a card today from a new online card making friend, Gail, from Norway. She also sent along a really cute cling stamp set of dogs and cats and bones.  I was not able to get a good pic of the stamps but they really are adorable. And now for the card she sent me, she was my partner for the Society of Stampaholics July Card Chain Challenge.  Here it is:

I love everything about this card! The colors are lovely too.... Thanks Gail.

Now I also rec'd a 2 cards and goodies from another swap partner from a group I belong to Cards and More.  Sally from TN, sent me the following cards and some other goodies to use in my cardmaking.  Love it all!  here is what Sally made and sent to me:

It's always fun to get such fabulous cards in the mail!  Thank you from the bottom of my heart, I love them and you too!

Steampunk Wedding

Hi I juat had to pop in and share this card I made earlier today.  I have some very very good friends who are getting married this weekend and I am unable to attend b/c I have my little sister coming to stay for long weekend. Have not seen her like 10 years!  So their theme of the wedding is "Steampunk".  This was a bit out of my comfort zone but I do believe I made it work.  After several hrs racking my brain and browsing the internet I realized I had a steampunk coloring book soooo I printed out several copies and proceeded to cut them all up to make it look 3-D.  After I put it all together I added some micro fine glitz to the wings and tiny little bling stones here and there.  It was really fun to do even though I thought about it all day!   DH even said he really likes this one, must be OK if he liked it, LOL.   Anyways here's the card:

I am entering this card in the following challenge:
Through the Craft Room Door -  Anything goes

Sister Act  -  Anything Goes

I tired to get a pic of the dimension hope this shows it OK.  Well peeps that's it for today. Thanks for popping by and visiting.

Until next time,

Anniversary Card for friend

Hello all, I thought I had posted this card and well I guess I kinda forgot....sometimes life gets in the way of our crafty time, LOL.  But anyway I made this card for friends celebrating their 34th Anniversary and they loved it!  It was made with Spellbinder dies, some white flowers that i just inked up the edges to make them pop more, the champagne bottle I found in a clearance bin at Walmart, the music background was from a stamp and I cut to fit the die cut.  Than added some black bling......that's it.  Hope you liked it.

That's all I have right now until I take some pics of all the other cards I have finished....have fun Wednesday all.

Until Next Time,
