And a bunch of fury friends that I will be going to visit several times today.  It's supposed to be cool and rainy today, not much like the Christmas's I remember, but it's what's in your heart that matters not the weather or even the gifts!!  :)

Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays and Seasons Greetings to all.

With much love and hugs,
Have a wonderful Day!

Quick Holiday Gift Card Holder

Hi, Chris here, my turn on The Stamping Shack DT to do a blog project. So here I am with a really quick project to house those little gift cards we all buy this time of year.

To make this gift card holder, that bears lots of Christmas cheer, fold an A2 (invitation size) envelope in half. Cut inside flap at center crease. Moisten to close only the left flap and cut off other half of flap.

Decorate front as desired using colorful papers, images and add a ribbon to tie card closed. I used the image from The Stamping Shack store called: Cat’s Chorus.  I colored it with color pencils and OMS. Then attached ribbon around card after gluing down patterned paper, leaving a tale in front and back. Then attach image with some scrap paper behind it, cut to size right over the ribbon on front.  I also ran some glue runner on ribbon on back side, to keep it in place.

Now for interior, decorate the inside of the card as desired, making sure to include both the recipient's name (To: ) and your own ( From ).  Insert your gift card in the pocket. That’s it your all done!

That's all for me for today......

Have a beautiful Christmas Day and a wonderful New Year’s too.
See You Next Year.

Card For My Sweetheart

Afternoon all.  Hope everyone is having a nice day.  It's very cool and dreary here today, a good day to stay in and finish up Christmas cards.  And that's what I did.   I made this Easel card for my Husband for Christmas this year.  I used Doodle Pantry Digital Image and the snow flakes I bought on clearance at Hobby Lobby last year.  The patterned paper is from Archiver's, I think it's by Bo Bunny maybe...?  Used a die from Just Rite Stamps for the inside sentiment.  And printed both sentiments on my printer.   I am very happy with it.  It's hard to come up with different ideas every year for cards for this wonderful man I have in my life.....  and now here is the card:

I actually finished a card for my Mum too, but I don't want to spoil the surprise for her so I won't show it just yet, sorry Mum :)

I am also entering this card in the following challenges over at Through the Craft Room Door, "Anything Goes Challenge".  And The Crazy Challenge - Christmas Time Challenge.  Wish me luck!

Well that's it for today, stop back tomorrow to see the next Challenge for The Stamping Shack, it runs tomorrow thru the end of the month.  And it 's Anything Goes, so come join us for some fun prizes and wonderful inspiration from the other DT members.  Hope you'll join in the fun!  See you tomorrow.

Until next time....

Another Easy Holiday Card

Howdy all, I'm back with  with another easy Card project for you.  This time I chose the image "Snow Much Fun" from The Stamping Shack store under the Christmas images to use for my card.  Below is a picture of all the supplies I used minus the color pencils, glitter glue and OMS.  I had put them away already and didn't realize til I was adding the pictures here, so sorry!

First print ,color and cut down image.  I used water color pencils with OMS to color image.  Then using glitter glue I added some areas of fake snow.  I put this on the ground area, snowman outline and the collar, cuffs and pompom of the little boy's hat.  Set aside to dry.

Then cut your patterned paper for the background to fit the base with just a bit of base card showing on sides and top of card leaving just a small amount of base card showing at bottom to add a sentiment.

Now attach patterned back ground paper to card base then Digi image to background paper, using glue stick.

Now all that's left is to add the holiday sentiment (from Just Rite Stamps) in the middle area under image and stamp 3 tiny snowflakes (from Just Rite Stamps) on either side of the sentiment.  I used red Marvy Marker for the sentiment and Green Marvy Marker for the snowflakes.
and it's finished!  Easy Peasy, took just under 15 minutes to make.

Well I hope you enjoyed this card project and don't forget to visit The Stamping Shack store for more fun images for all your card making and more.  Also if you have not stopped by their blog you should, they have a Challenge going on through the 14th of this month, It's Anything Goes.  And there will be 3 winners!  So come on join in the fun and show us what you come up with.

Until next time,

Happy Sunday!

Hi everyone and a very Happy Sunday to all.  Today it's my turn to share a project with you all for The Stamping Shack Blog where I am a Design Team member.  I was having a really hard time trying to decide what to make for today's blog post then it came to me.  It's a tissue box cover!  You know for kleenex or Puff's.   It was actually easy to put together and I think it's cute.  I never have done one before so I think it turned out fairly nice for a 1st attempt.  Here is a picture of the supplies I used:
Cube Tissue box with bottom cut out, Tape Runner, colored twine, patterned Christmas paper, copic markers, lace trim, spellbinder dies, foam dots, poinsettia flowers, and a paper trimmer.

1. I picked out the paper then, using paper cutter, cut to fit each side and top of box.

2. I added the lace trim to the top edge of box all the way around with Tape runner.

3. I cut twine to fit each side corner of the box and attached with glue runner.
Here's a picture of it so far.

3. Print and color the Digi Image of  Elf Postage Stamp.  This digi is from the The Stamping Shack and can be purchased here under the Christmas section.

4. Cut small squares of green card stock slightly larger than Elf Digi and attach behind digi at an angle with foam dots.  Then place them on opposite sides of the box with more foam dots.

5. Using your Die Cut machine and die of your choice. Die cut two of one image. to use on the opposite 2 sides of box.  I used my Spellbinder Grand Calibur and shapeabilitie Bird flourishes die. I cut and emboss them then attached to box sides with glue runner, added a poinsettia flower from Petaloo under each die for added dimension.

I then added some ribbon for Studio G all around the bottom of box.  And then add some clear bling spaced out on the ribbon.  The I also added some red bling from studio G to the sides and top for a little more Pizazz, where you place it is totally your choice.  And so here are a few pictures of my finalized Tissue Box Cover.

And lastly I added a satiny red string around the top where the lace is and tied in a small bow. That's it, it's all done. Just put over another box of tissues for some festive holiday decor.......

Thanks for visiting my blog today and check back often for more fun ideas.

Tuesday Color Challenge

Hi everyone.  Sorry it's been week since my last post, but sometime life takes over.  We had our Annual weekend once a year getaway camping trip(it was a blast)  this past weekend and I had a lot to do to prepare.  Beside finding someone we trusted to stay with MIL all weekend  and Pet Sitting has picked up so needless to say I was a bit busy.  But I did find time to create this little table decoration for Thanksgiving time. I colored the digi image, called Autumn Girl from the Lilyputs Range at The Stamping Shack, with Copic markers layered the colored paper on green card base and embellished with the leaves and flowers. Then added the printed text.  It's for the the weekly Tuesday Color Challenge over at Outlawz.   Here is the color choices and twist we have to work with this week.

Lovely isn't it.  I love these colors! Very Fall, Thanksgiving theme to me!
And here is my table decoration:

Tueday Color Challenge

Good Morning everyone!  Today is the 1st Tuesday of my Guest Design Team Spot on the Oultlawz Group.  I am very excited to have been asked to do this.  It kinda makes me feel special that they like my creations enough to ask me to join in the fun.   So let's get this party started!

Here is the picture of the colors we have to work with and the twist is to make it vintage.  You be the judge, but I think mine is fairly Vintage, at least I think so.   And here is my Vintage Card.  I tried to distress the lil girl image a bit to make it more vintage looking, I guess it looks OK.  And I only had a lighter tan so I that's what I went with!

Well you have a wonderful day.  I am off to pack camping gear for our annual camping trip this coming weekend, with 40 - 50 of our closet friends.  I love camping and am looking forward to it very much.

And don't forget come visit the Outlawz group Tuesday Color Challenge and hopefully you'll decide to join in  the fun!

Until next time........................

Sunday, November 4, 2012

Hello all. Today is my day as a New DT member for The Stamping Shack Blog to post a card project.  I have a really quick cute and simple card project for you today. The digital image I used can be found and purchased here at The Stamping Shack Store.  The image is called" Oscar & Daisy - Snow Pals", it screams Christmas to me.  So now, onto how I created the card.

1 - Print digital image with  Merry to the left side of image and Christmas the right of image.  I did this in MS word.  I used the font "Harrington" in all capital letters in bold red type.  After printing I trimmed top and bottom very close to image with small paper trimmer.

2 - Color image as you like.  I used Copic markers primary colors.

3 - Center image on card front and trim sides even with card base.  Attach to base with your favorite adhesive. I used my Xyron Tape runner.

4 - Using Spellbinders Edgabilities Ric Rack Die (edge #1) lay across top of card above image piece, tape ends down so it does not move on you.  Then using blue color used to color image trace top edge of edge die. Then do the same with red color on the bottom edge of die.  Un-tape die and move to bottom of card and repeat above instructions.

5 -Then just add some bling where ever you like.

Simple right?  If you like what you see check the stamping shack blog regularly to see what all the other creative DT members have in store for you. That's all I have for you today.  Happy Crafty Sunday!

Until Next time,
Tootles
