2 last minute cards

Hi I want to share 2 last minute cards I made yesterday.  One is for my Mom, I know I made one already for her, but I gave it to her b/c she was down in the dumps and she loved it.  So made another for her to open on Christmas Morning....And a Sexy Santa one for My Hubby.........

So there you have it....  I found a Sizzix die in my stash that I got at Convention and never even opened it so that's the one I used to make DH's card.   He will be surprised b/c I never make "Sexy" Cards ever!   Hope he likes it....

Well off to finish picking up the house and freshen up the guest room so my Mom can stay with us with her adorable little dog Christmas Eve Day and Christmas Day.  Hope every one is having a wonderful Holiday Season.  Hugs and love to all of you!

MERRY CHRISTMAS!

I've been making Card Sets

Hello Crafty Peeps!  Hope everyone is doing great today.  I have decided that I am going to give some of my very close friends for Christmas a set of handmade cards.  Probably 6-8 assorted theme cards.  You know,  Birthday, Sympathy, Thinking of You, Thank You ect...   I also have been wanting to make some envelope boxes for cards also, So of course I did.  And they are so easy to make it's crazy.  I used the envelope make from We R Memory Keepers to make my envelope boxes.  I saw a video by Jennifer McGuire on how to do these,  just search You Tube for envelope boxes and it will come up.  And now here are the cards and 2 envelope boxes I made.  Going to add ribbon to keep them closed.

So that is all I have for now.  I am in a Christmas card swap so I need to get busy on those and will share once done.... have a great Tuesday all.

Football Birthday Card

Hello Crafty Peeps.  Hope everyone is nice and cool where ever your at b/c It's definitely summer here.  110 degrees in the shade on my porch, yep that's hot.....  Anyway I promised to show the football card once I re-did it and well here it is. I cased it from one seen on Pinterest.  Mine's not as nicely done as the one I saw but I am still happy with the out come and this one looks like a football and not a "chocolate egg" as my sweet DH called the 1st one, LOL.  So here is my version of the football card:

Now DH is very happy with the cards for his friends Birthday's so I am happy too.  Stay cool and keep o0n crafting!

A Toolriffic Card!

Sorry Peeps could not help my self with the title........Anyways here is a fun guy card for the man who love to tinker in his tools.  I saw this on Pinterest and Hubby has a friend who is always tinkering in his garage with his tools.  So with his birthday just around the corner I had to case this Tool Chest card.  I am sure any of you who been to Pinterest will have seen this before.  It was fun and I picked up the tool stickers from Walmart of all places.....here's the card.

So I should be sharing 2 cards with you, but I made a football shaped card for another friend of Hubby's and well let's just say I think it looks more like a chocolate egg, LOL !  So scrapped it and will try again another day......Such is the life of a card maker right!

Until next time,

Been a bit behind on posting

Afternoon to all my online friends....I have been a bit lacks on posting the cards I've been working on.  Well not entirely my fault though.  My computer has started crashing a lot as of late....look like a new one is in my future!  So here is what I have been working on.

1st up a card for a Masculine cards swap I am in, I sent six identical and get 5 different in return.  Here is my Guy card:

Second in line is a dry alcohol ink stamped card, done on glossy CS and image stamped in Black Stazon.  This one is for a special Friend.

The 3rd and 4th  in the batch are made from a bunch of back grounds I made with nail polish and water and Alcohol Ink and water.  Made these cards into get well wishes I was needing.

I do have a couple others made but unfortunately I can not share these as they are for a swap in one of my card groups and would hate for my partner to see the cards before she actually rec'd them, LOL.  Kinda spoils the fun right!

Well that is all I got for today, Thanks for popping by and have great evening.

Card Swap with Society of Stampoholics

HI everyone.  I participated in the April Card Chain over at Society of Stampaholics.  I received a lovely card from Joy, in Ohio and it is the first one below.  I sent the card I made to Dawn, in Australia.  I use bazzil CS and The flower stamp is from Power Poppy, I absolutely adore these stamps.  I colored with copics and then added some bling and then decided at the last moment to add some glossy accents to the flowers and it looked awesome, but it is hard to see in the picture.  And now for the cards.

From Joy, In Ohio to Me

To Dawn in Australia from me

I love doing these card swaps as you make new crafty card maker friends and learn new things too.  I do not do them every month but when time permits I do so love to join in the fun.  Thanks for popping by and be sure to leave some comment love as I read each and everyone......

A few Birthday Cards

Good Afternoon and Happy Saturday!  I want to send a warm welcome to all my new followers and of course to all of you who drop by and follow me here.  I read and love all your wonderful comments.  Thank You!

OK, Now for 2 birthday cards I made earlier this week.  The 1st one up is one for my nieces 15th birthday. She loves turtles and her fave color is yellow, so this is what I came up with:

And here's the inside too:
Made this cad with the turtl digi I had in my files but unfortunately i failed to name who I got it from, sorry.  Colored it with Copics and fussy cut it out.  Added tiny white bow to top of presents, form Wal-mart.   Flowers are from Recollections.  Used  cuttle bug embossing folder, b/c I thought it kind of looked like the turtle's shell.  The green enamel dots are recollections also.  The die cut is from Spellbinders that I had for ages.  I used the cut out from the die cut to make a yellow space to match the front and stamped sentiment from Anna Griffin in blue.  Also stamped yellow tiny flower in corner also from Anna Griffin.  And that's it.....

I also made a birthday card for a dear friend, who loves to get handmade cards, Maria E.  She loves Stargazer Lilies, Shoes and the color purple, we both like all of theses actually!  So I made this card for her this year:

OK, here I used another Spellbinder Die and the shoe die is from Top Dog Dies.  The flowers are from a Google search for lilies coloring pages.  It was a quixcke card but I really like the end product.  Hope you all do too.

Until next time,

Pocket Card

Morning everyone.  I had to make a card for my card groups weekly challenge this week and the idea was to make a shaped card of a thing, not just a square or circle.  It actually had to be something.  So I have been wanting to try my hand at a pocket card. And so I decided on a flower pot pocket card.  I am very happy with the out come.  There are so many tutorials out there for this type of card.  I watched several and then just made this one from memory.  I did not add a sentiment yet, because I am not sure who the receiver will be.  Here is a link to one tutorial that was the easiest for me to follow:  Steph's Paper Crafting.

                                                        flower pot all together

Sentiment part out of pot pocket

Steph made it very easy to make this card. If you get the chance follow the link above to the tutorial and see for your selves.  And tell her I sent you, Please.  Well that's all for today.  Thanks so very much for coming by and do leave me some love.....

Thank You's

Hi all and very rainy Saturday here and also very gray out.  Yesterday I decided to make a few Thank You cards.  I like to make 6 or 8 at a time in the same theme.  I use them a lot in my Pet Sitting biz, so make them several times a year.  The stamps I used about 1 inch square and they came with a set of Gelatos I purchased a year ago and have yet to play with.  I used Momento Ink on all and in shades that are lighter and darker than one another.  Added some ribbon (from Walmart) & paper flowers (Hobby Lobby) just above the stamping and then stamped the Thank You (Hero Arts, I think!).  And Voila a simple card.  Made these all up in less than 1 hour.  And here they are:
So that's all for now.  Hope you all have a fun weekend.  I am off to work on some Christmas card Ideas.  Promised myself I would get mine done early this year, yeah I know, we'll see how it goes LOL!
Thanks for stopping by and do leave some comment love, I promise I read them and appreciate all of you popping by.......

Another RAK (Random Act of Kindess) Card

Hello all.  Boy have we been having a few days of cooler weather here in TX 43 right now.  But at least we don't have snow and below 0 temps, thankful for that much.  Well as you all know my card group has a weekly challenge, just for fun and here is my card for last week.  It was to be a card for a male and we had to use 4 items from a list of things.  I chose grey card stock, nature stamp, embossing folder and gate fold.  And here is the card.
So  I started by making the gate fold card base then embossed front flaps only.  Used SB EF.  I then added the grey and Yellow scrap paper from my stash and also added a few black gems to opposite corners.  Die cut a the white frame and cut grey card to fit inside the middle and stamped in black Momento ink the Poppies from Just Right Stamps, and attached this to one side of the front flaps.  I decided it needed more pop so I added more black gems to frame it a bit and the little tiny white flowers and a tiny white bow (from Wal mart sewing section).  Not sure how manly it is but there you have it.  This going to card making friend, who is male, and is a retired art teacher and who makes wonderful cards also.  The inside of the card says " You are in my garden of friends".

That's all I have for now.  Still need to get my card for this week's challenge done, but I have been trying to organize my craft area and we all know how that can go, LOL.  Wish me luck.

Until next time
Stay warm, where ever you are

Happy Sunday

Happy Sunday afternoon everyone.  It's been an absolutely lovely day here in Central TX.  Temps are in the high 80's and I am loving it!  I made a card earlier in the week for my card groups weekly challenge and darn if I did not forget to share it here with you all.  So here it is:

The challenge was to make a Black & white and add one other color.  So I added teal, my fav color!  Hope you enjoy seeing it as much as I enjoyed making it....that's it for now.  Thanks so much for looking and leaving some comment love.  I do read them all and do my best to pop by your blog if you leave me the address.....

Until next time,

Just a little RAK

Happy Hump Day all.  Well I rec'd my new Grand Calibur Machine and it came with 5 new die sets, none of which I had, Yay for me.  So I made a RAK for a new Card-making friend,  now I am not thrilled it came out, but that happens sometimes.  The ideas in our minds don't always turn out as we think they will, lol.  So I used one of the new dies I recieved called Whimsical Tree, very cute! Colored it with a dauber and pear tart momento ink.  Embossed half of card front with my fav EF polka dots.  Added some green ribbon and pearl and green bling, then added more pearls all around edges of card. Also ran the pear tart in over the raised dots on bottom half of card.  Then stamped oval frame and sentiment from Just Right Stamps in pear tart again.  I think in future will use dark green color for sentiment, it's a little hard to see in person.  But all in all it's a cute card I guess and here it is:

Well that's it for now, off to see what else I can make with the new dies.  Thanks for stopping by and leaving some comment love.

Until next time,
 Happy crafting

Birthday Cards x 3

Hello and BRRRRR..... it's been a really cold few days here in Texas and rainy too.  I made some more cards, actually three of them.  This first one I made about 2 wks. back but could not share it until today b/c I did not want the recipient, my dear friend Deloris to see before her birthday.  Stamped ink a dink a do stamps on card stock to stick out behind the spellbinder die, added some polka dot tan card stock scrap and recollections flower was added with glue dot.  The sentiment is from Ana Griffith that I had lying around. I then added a few bling stones to match.  Deloris said she loved army green and brown so I hope she likes this card.  Happy Birthday D!

The 2nd card below is for one of my close friends, Buffy.  She is very Girlie and loves Blue.  So this is what I did for her.
The stamped image is from Stamping Bella. I stamped it in blue Momento ink and colored it up with Copics, then added some lite blue Stickles to the dress also. Flower is from recollections and the bling and feathers are from Prima.

And last but not least this card is for my male friend Greg and who is also Buffy boyfriend.  I never know what to do for guys so I hope this is manly enough in color anyway!  I used Elizabeth craft stickers and microfine glitter and colored with copics.  My DH says it will pass the test, so i guess that means it is good to go! Sorry about the flash glare, no matter what I did it had that glare in the middle, sorry.....
Well that all I have for right now.  I still need to make 3 more birthday cards for my Dec.birthday friends . And can you believe I still have not got even 1/2 of my Christmas cards done yet.  Guess I better get on the stick and get busy!  Well have a warm and happy Sunday.  Thanks again for coming by for a visit.

Until next time
Big warm hugs

A not so perfect card.......

Happy Friday!  It's another dreary gray cloudy day here.  I have been playing around with Peel off Stickers, micro-fine glitter and Copic markers.  So far I have only made 1 that turned out the way I actually wanted it to and tossed 3 others.  So today I thought I'd share the card that I made that has a few issues, it's still an OK card, but just not as great as I would of liked.  Apparently I need a little more practice with this card technique.  Well anyways here is my not so perfect card!

So can you see where the purple color is leaching out into the yellow?  I think maybe I used to much pressure when coloring with the copics.  It's not horrible but it could be better!  All products except the card base and black stone bling are from Elizabeth Crafts.  I love this technique, just need to practice it a bit.  Elizabeth Crafts has some cool outline stickers and their transfer sheets and dbl sided tape sheets are all very reasonable.  If you have never checked Elizabeth Crafts out, you should.  They have a great gallery and face book page with tons of pics for ideas.   I actually learned about this technique from a dear online card making Friend, Deloris. She sent me a card that was "gorjuss" earlier in the year and I have been wanting to try to make one since.   Well this was just to show that even someone who has been card making for some time has trouble sometime too, LOL

So this card was made for the Tuesday Color Challenge over at Outlawz. here is a pic of the color theme:

At least my colors look right, even if the card is not perfect, LOL!

This card is being entered in the following Challenge(s):

             Outlawz Tuesday Color Challenge

It definitely will not win, but just had to share it anyway..... :)
Have a fun weekend.

Until next time,
Bye by
