OK and for my the second card I made. I did this one with the Created with Love Blog Challenge in mind. We had to create a birthday card using Blue & Red. The digi image of the girl is a freebie by Anne Fenton, a member at Outlawz. And this card will be going to another friend with a birthday later this month. It also fits the rules for a couple other challenges too. So here it is. I love this paper I used on this card, isn't really retro? I only wish I had more of it :( . Hope this picture shows all the details and bling.
This card will be entered into the following challenges:
Blue & Red Birthday Challenge - Created with Love
Creative Freebie Challenge - Outlawz Challenges
Flowers Challenge - Delicious Doodles
Until next time........

Sept. 18, 2012 Tuesday
OK here are the cards I made for the CAS (Clean & Simple) Holiday Card swap over at Slpitcoast Stampers. We had to make 6 cards and you get five back, one stays with the Hostess. I am mailing them out tomorrow. I am pretty happy with them actually. I found it a little hard to think in terms of not using a lot on a card. But I just took some white card base and with my small Scor-Pal, I embossed 2 lines around all 4 sides of card front only. Then I found some paper in my stash with snow on it that has a teeny bit of sparkle to it and cut to fit just inside the embossed lines, and glued in place with my Xyron tape runner. I then added a 3-d snowman from Martha Stewart Crafts, they are foam tape backed. I also added a run on holiday sentiment to the inside of each card. And that's it. A fun but very fast and easy way to produce several cards at once . So here are a few pics for you to view, so do you think they fit the CAS idea?
Here is a list of all the supplies I used for theses cards:
* Personalized By you - Rub on Phrases ( on inside of Card)
* Martha Stewart Crafts - 3-d Snowmen ( I'm a Snowman addict by the way)
* Me & My Big Ideas Paper Pad - Blue Snowy back ground paper
* Paper Studio - White Card Base
* Scor-Pal - small size (to make embossed lines around card front)
* Xyron Tape Runner
Until next time,
Bye Ya'll

Happy Wednesday everyone. It's time again for the Tuesday Color Challenge at Outlawz Challenges.
Here are the color choices we had to work with, I am loving these colors so much.
We

adorable digital image that was free from one of the Outlawz members
who's son creates them and gives them away. So Cool isn't it. Just was
waiting for the right time to use her.
Went
with a very CAS card this week, but I think it is way cute......Thanks
for stopping by to see me. Off to try to come up with something that
fit in to two other challenges. So that's all for right now.
Until next time.....

Sept. 3, 2012 Labor Day Celebrated
Hello and welcome back. As I said I did finally find a little block of time to get my Challenge card done today. It's made with a digital image by ANNE FENTON, from the Outlawz Challenges Group, for the Creative Freebie Challenge. It ends on 9/8. I rec'd two images from her, one was a Koi Pond and the other was a gorgeous Dragon fly. But as Fate would have it my printer just would not print the Dragon fly properly, so I went with the Koi Pond image. I like how it came out. I colored the image in with Colored Pencils from Artist Loft and Odorless Mineral Spirits, generic brand from Micheal's. Added some white Glue around to frame image and then sprinkled some fine green glitter over the Glue. Added some pretty paper and foam taped image to this it on an angle. Then attached both to Brown Kraft card base with double sided tape. Added some green bling to opposite corners and that is it, a finished card! What do you Think??????
Wouldn't it be pretty if these fish really did have purple coloring? Well that's all from me for today!
Until next time...................

Happy Tuesday everyone! It's time for another Tuesday Color Challenge over at Outlawz Challenges. This week it's one of my favorite Colors. We have to use two shades of purple and white. And this week's twist is to use a letter of the alphabet in your design. You'll have to check back though to see what I come up with......because I don't have a clue yet what I want to make, LOL...
And now for a tidbit of news. I have been accepted as a RAK (Random Act of Kindness) Member over on Split Coast Stampers. I am thrilled to be part of this group. You all know by now how much I adore making cards so now I have another reason. And all my challenge cards have a new bunch of homes to get to go to.
One other Challenge I try to do is the Creative Freebie Challenge again over at Outlawz Challenges. You get two free digital images sent to you when your a member and you have to use one of them to create your item or make one with each image . The challenge is for about 2wks. I haven't decided on exactly what I want to make, but I have an idea in the works.
Soooooo, now you have a reason to be checking back and commenting too, right! (wink, wink, nudge, nudge).
That's it for now.
Until next time............

Howdy everyone, it's Saturday and I am feeling much better, YAY! Thought I'd share a card I made for the Tuesday Color Challenge over at Outlawz Challenges. I think it turned out kinda cute. I am an Owl person so I had to use a new digital image I had from Clear Dollar Stamps, then I found this cute patterned paper in my stash that had the 3 colors in the challenge (Green, Gold & Orange), paper is from Paper Studio, added a bit of green twine, some bling jewels from Studio G then stamped the words with stamps from Studio G. It needs something but I just could not come up with anything more so here it is. Probably not a winner but hey, it's still cute right?
Have a fun weekend
Until Next time.........................
Bye y'all

8/23/2012 Thursday
Hi again, I have been working on some very quick and simple cards to get off to a group that sends cards to Our Troops. I made 2 casual cards yesterday and sent them off today, what do you think, do they show American Spirit??
An now for a birthday card for a dear friend, Anita. Hubby and I a part of a group that attend Renaissance Faires all around Texas. And Anita is part of this fun group of friends. So here is her birthday card that I came up with. I am loving the colors! Tell me what you think, will she like it or not, I hope so (wink)......
Now it's back to Christmas Cards....having a bit of lost Mojo though, maybe will put them aside for a day or two until my creativity sparks a bit, want them to be fun and full of Christmas Spirit and I am just not feeling today :(
Until next time.

8/20/2012, Monday
Well, a few days ago I decided it is time to start thinking about Christmas Cards. I know it's still a stinking hot summer here in Texas, but I hand make all and I mean all of my Christmas Cards. Friends and Family actually expect to get a new card creation each and every year. And we all know I really don't mind making them. It's just the list is getting longer and longer and supplies and postage stamps don't come cheaply theses day. Might have to be a bit particular about who we send to this year. Last year's count for handmade cards was 85, I know, I know I'm crazy! That's why I start on them now. So I went through all my card stash for Christmas related supplies and boy oh boy, I sure have plenty to get me started. Here is what I found so far that I have never used on Christmas cards i have made before.
Guess I don't really need any more Christmas Card supplies!! I find sales every year after Christmas and stock up for the next Christmas' card making. But darn I have yet to check my card stock and paper stash for Christmas related designs and colored papers. I'm sure I have some, well I mean I'm sure have a lot of paper, LOL!! OK off to come up with some ideas for all theses Christmas Cards........
Thanks for stopping by and looking around.
Until next time,
BYE Now

8/17/2012 Friday
Yay, it's Friday! Just wanted to pop in and show you what I came up with for another Challenge over at Outlawz. It's for the Creative Freebie Challenge. You get a digital image from group leader and have to create something for the challenge (card, scrapbook page whatever you decide....) I decided to try an old technique for making a background, shaving cream and alcohol inks. I like the out come. All you do is put a good amount of shaving cream (not gel) on a paper plate and add drops of the inkers all over the cream. The I take a plastic fork and swirl the ink colors in the cream. Don't swirl to much it gets muddy looking. Then get a piece of glossy paper and lay it on top of this creamy shaving mess. Press lightly all over, not to hard though. Then lift one corner up and pull off. You will have color and shaving cream every where on the paper. I then use a piece of sturdy cardboard and scrape off all the shaving cream from the paper. You should now see a cool marbled looking colorful background. Just set aside to dry and then use it as you wish for backgrounds or what ever. I printed the digital image on my background when dry then layered with card stock and flowers and a sentiment, and Voila you have a card! And here it is.....
Pretty cool background, I'm happy with it!
Have a wonderful weekend all.
Until next time...

Well
it's a hot Friday afternoon here in Texas and just the perfect weather
for some inside crafting. So I decided I'd get a couple quick cards out
for some birthdays. And of course a fate would have it my sore hands
are acting up. So I looked through my stash and I found some stickers I
had forgot all about, that would do up some quickie cards. They need to
be in tomorrow's mail. OK here is what I came up with, what do you
think? For quick cards they turned out cute!
