Anniversary Card for friend

Hello all, I thought I had posted this card and well I guess I kinda forgot....sometimes life gets in the way of our crafty time, LOL.  But anyway I made this card for friends celebrating their 34th Anniversary and they loved it!  It was made with Spellbinder dies, some white flowers that i just inked up the edges to make them pop more, the champagne bottle I found in a clearance bin at Walmart, the music background was from a stamp and I cut to fit the die cut.  Than added some black bling......that's it.  Hope you liked it.

That's all I have right now until I take some pics of all the other cards I have finished....have fun Wednesday all.

Until Next Time,

Happy 4th of July

HAPPY 4TH TO ALL MY FAMILY AND FRIENDS.
I thought I would share some of my plants that I have been working on growing.  First you have to understand I do not have a green thumb at all.  And we have sun on our back Patio for most of the day.  So I found 2 flowering plants that love hot weather and direct sun light.  I have had them 3 weeks now and wow are they doing well.  I love sitting there and seeing them.  I am trying to grow some herbs to but not having a lot of luck there.  Planted Basil, Rosemary, Oregano and Parsley.  So far only the Parsley has begun to grow and the oregano is just popping up.  Oh well, there's always next season....... Here's some pics to enjoy. Hope everyone has a safe & fun 4th weekend........................................

Until Next Time,

A few Birthday Cards

Good Afternoon and Happy Saturday!  I want to send a warm welcome to all my new followers and of course to all of you who drop by and follow me here.  I read and love all your wonderful comments.  Thank You!

OK, Now for 2 birthday cards I made earlier this week.  The 1st one up is one for my nieces 15th birthday. She loves turtles and her fave color is yellow, so this is what I came up with:

And here's the inside too:
Made this cad with the turtl digi I had in my files but unfortunately i failed to name who I got it from, sorry.  Colored it with Copics and fussy cut it out.  Added tiny white bow to top of presents, form Wal-mart.   Flowers are from Recollections.  Used  cuttle bug embossing folder, b/c I thought it kind of looked like the turtle's shell.  The green enamel dots are recollections also.  The die cut is from Spellbinders that I had for ages.  I used the cut out from the die cut to make a yellow space to match the front and stamped sentiment from Anna Griffin in blue.  Also stamped yellow tiny flower in corner also from Anna Griffin.  And that's it.....

I also made a birthday card for a dear friend, who loves to get handmade cards, Maria E.  She loves Stargazer Lilies, Shoes and the color purple, we both like all of theses actually!  So I made this card for her this year:

OK, here I used another Spellbinder Die and the shoe die is from Top Dog Dies.  The flowers are from a Google search for lilies coloring pages.  It was a quixcke card but I really like the end product.  Hope you all do too.

Until next time,

Howdy crafty peeps.  I was given a nice surprise when I checked email this morning.  I was given the honor of the Liebester Award from another creative card maker, Greta, of GG Creations.  WOW, I am just tickled she thought that much of  my blog to honor me this way.  Thank you from the bottom of my heart, Greta.  Now if I understand I must pass this honor forward to other crafters that I feel deserve the honor and have under 500 followers.  And I believe I am to set up 11 questions for my nominees to answer so we can learn a bit about them.  So I am off to come up with my questions and my nominations and will pop back tomorrow with all of this done.

Thank You's

Hi all and very rainy Saturday here and also very gray out.  Yesterday I decided to make a few Thank You cards.  I like to make 6 or 8 at a time in the same theme.  I use them a lot in my Pet Sitting biz, so make them several times a year.  The stamps I used about 1 inch square and they came with a set of Gelatos I purchased a year ago and have yet to play with.  I used Momento Ink on all and in shades that are lighter and darker than one another.  Added some ribbon (from Walmart) & paper flowers (Hobby Lobby) just above the stamping and then stamped the Thank You (Hero Arts, I think!).  And Voila a simple card.  Made these all up in less than 1 hour.  And here they are:
So that's all for now.  Hope you all have a fun weekend.  I am off to work on some Christmas card Ideas.  Promised myself I would get mine done early this year, yeah I know, we'll see how it goes LOL!
Thanks for stopping by and do leave some comment love, I promise I read them and appreciate all of you popping by.......

Another RAK (Random Act of Kindess) Card

Hello all.  Boy have we been having a few days of cooler weather here in TX 43 right now.  But at least we don't have snow and below 0 temps, thankful for that much.  Well as you all know my card group has a weekly challenge, just for fun and here is my card for last week.  It was to be a card for a male and we had to use 4 items from a list of things.  I chose grey card stock, nature stamp, embossing folder and gate fold.  And here is the card.
So  I started by making the gate fold card base then embossed front flaps only.  Used SB EF.  I then added the grey and Yellow scrap paper from my stash and also added a few black gems to opposite corners.  Die cut a the white frame and cut grey card to fit inside the middle and stamped in black Momento ink the Poppies from Just Right Stamps, and attached this to one side of the front flaps.  I decided it needed more pop so I added more black gems to frame it a bit and the little tiny white flowers and a tiny white bow (from Wal mart sewing section).  Not sure how manly it is but there you have it.  This going to card making friend, who is male, and is a retired art teacher and who makes wonderful cards also.  The inside of the card says " You are in my garden of friends".

That's all I have for now.  Still need to get my card for this week's challenge done, but I have been trying to organize my craft area and we all know how that can go, LOL.  Wish me luck.

Until next time
Stay warm, where ever you are

Happy Sunday

Happy Sunday afternoon everyone.  It's been an absolutely lovely day here in Central TX.  Temps are in the high 80's and I am loving it!  I made a card earlier in the week for my card groups weekly challenge and darn if I did not forget to share it here with you all.  So here it is:

The challenge was to make a Black & white and add one other color.  So I added teal, my fav color!  Hope you enjoy seeing it as much as I enjoyed making it....that's it for now.  Thanks so much for looking and leaving some comment love.  I do read them all and do my best to pop by your blog if you leave me the address.....

Until next time,

Just a little RAK

Happy Hump Day all.  Well I rec'd my new Grand Calibur Machine and it came with 5 new die sets, none of which I had, Yay for me.  So I made a RAK for a new Card-making friend,  now I am not thrilled it came out, but that happens sometimes.  The ideas in our minds don't always turn out as we think they will, lol.  So I used one of the new dies I recieved called Whimsical Tree, very cute! Colored it with a dauber and pear tart momento ink.  Embossed half of card front with my fav EF polka dots.  Added some green ribbon and pearl and green bling, then added more pearls all around edges of card. Also ran the pear tart in over the raised dots on bottom half of card.  Then stamped oval frame and sentiment from Just Right Stamps in pear tart again.  I think in future will use dark green color for sentiment, it's a little hard to see in person.  But all in all it's a cute card I guess and here it is:

Well that's it for now, off to see what else I can make with the new dies.  Thanks for stopping by and leaving some comment love.

Until next time,
 Happy crafting

Had to share ;)

Hello everyone!  I have to tell you all that last Tuesday evening I was playing in craft area and low and behold I broke my Grand Calibur!  And worst part of it it was totally my fault.  I was in a hurry to get something done as we sometimes do, and used the wrong plate sandwich.  So it made that horrible metal grinding noise and snaps and crackles!  I almost cried, but such is the life of a crafter right. My DH came running in, b/c he heard the noise and my words and new it could not be good.  The sweetie that he is he took it all apart but was not able to fix it, b/c The teeth on the gears actually broke.  He was able to get the plates and  my embossing folder out luckily.  I was so mad at my self let me tell you.  But DH saved the day again and he  ordered me another Grand Calibur from get this "HSN".  After talking with my mom about where he could order one for me as Valentines gift.  And the great news is it will be here sometime today, we just checked the tracking and it's out on the UPS truck for delivery, Yippee...... Happy Crafter dance going on here.
Had to share with you all b/c I knew you would understand my feeling of anger and happiness....

Thanks for popping by and I'll be adding more later today hopefully  :)

Until next time,

A not so perfect card.......

Happy Friday!  It's another dreary gray cloudy day here.  I have been playing around with Peel off Stickers, micro-fine glitter and Copic markers.  So far I have only made 1 that turned out the way I actually wanted it to and tossed 3 others.  So today I thought I'd share the card that I made that has a few issues, it's still an OK card, but just not as great as I would of liked.  Apparently I need a little more practice with this card technique.  Well anyways here is my not so perfect card!

So can you see where the purple color is leaching out into the yellow?  I think maybe I used to much pressure when coloring with the copics.  It's not horrible but it could be better!  All products except the card base and black stone bling are from Elizabeth Crafts.  I love this technique, just need to practice it a bit.  Elizabeth Crafts has some cool outline stickers and their transfer sheets and dbl sided tape sheets are all very reasonable.  If you have never checked Elizabeth Crafts out, you should.  They have a great gallery and face book page with tons of pics for ideas.   I actually learned about this technique from a dear online card making Friend, Deloris. She sent me a card that was "gorjuss" earlier in the year and I have been wanting to try to make one since.   Well this was just to show that even someone who has been card making for some time has trouble sometime too, LOL

So this card was made for the Tuesday Color Challenge over at Outlawz. here is a pic of the color theme:

At least my colors look right, even if the card is not perfect, LOL!

This card is being entered in the following Challenge(s):

             Outlawz Tuesday Color Challenge

It definitely will not win, but just had to share it anyway..... :)
Have a fun weekend.

Until next time,

Alittle late but got it in

Hello everyone.  I had to play and create a card for the Tuesday Color Challenge over at OUTLAWS Challenge site.  I have missed playing along for a very long time and the colors this last week were just to pretty to not play, so I made my card and just got it in on the last day, today, better late than never as the saying goes, LOL!  The color theme is below and my card follows, the twist was to make it Autumn or Fall related.

Also used this card for my weekly card group challenge, where we had to use 1 stamp 3 times.  Some card friend will be getting this as a RAK soon.  I will be adding the other few fall cards later today or tomorrow so be sure to check back soon.  :
