Start of Christmas Card Making

Hello and a very happy Sunday evening to you all.  Yesterday evening I colored these images and this morning I made cards of them.  There are 2 more images yet to be colored and made up into cards.  I really like these cards and they shimmer so pretty!  I used Outline stickers from Elizabeth Craft and colored with Spectrum Noir Markers.  Then made some card fronts with die cuts and specialty papers.  Hope you like them, I know I do.......

So now I am getting into the mood for getting my Christmas Cards made and ready to go in early December.  At least that's the Idea anyways, LOL.  I only need about 40 cards so I guess I better get busy..............  Thanks for popping by and having a look see.

Until next time,

This week's cards

I'm back with 2 cards I made this past week.   I made the 1st one for a friends Birthday on Friday and she loved it, thankfully.  The dress and boots are slightly popped up with foam tape.  The 2nd card was for a sweet friends 1st baby and her shower, she's due in 6 wks!  We knew it's gonna be a girl so geared the card for a little girl.  I also added her baby's initials to the drawer fronts......
Both where fun to make.  Hope you enjoyed seeing them.  And Thank you so much for coming by for a visit.

Until next time,

Red, Orange and Teal? Really....

Hello again.  I found some time today to get 2 more cards done.  1st one is for a group challenge and must be sent to one of the group members of our choosing.  We had to use Red, Orange and Teal.  I actually chose the challenge colors this time.  Why, I do not know, but i am happy to say I am thrilled with these 2 cards!   Made on Water color paper with distress inks and Stencil.  Sentiment word stamps stamped on vellum and are from Catherine Pooler.  The flowers and leaves are from Altenew and colored with water color pencils and baby oil and attached with foam tape.  added two orange bling to corners of vellum.  2nd cad done same way but no flowers attached.  I was pleasantly surprised with these and really like them......

Masculine Card

Happy Hump Day, LOL...it has been a while since I have heard anyone say that!  So I finally got my computer photo program to cooperate and let me load this card I made for one of my DH's male friend's.  The sprocket looking dies are from Sizzix and the birthday cake is from Catherine Pooler. The sprocket is to pieces (corners) and just used stamping up fine tip glue to attach and the cake stamp is 3 separate layers and then the candle and the little black dot trim is another stamp and then I fussy cut it out and attached with glue runner.  I choose the blue, grey and black just because I thought it made for a more masculine card.  And that's all there was to it. Oh and I forgot to snap a pic but the inside has a few sprockets in the top and bottom corners and a stamped Birthday sentiment.  There you have it all done and already mailed.  Now off to make some more cards, need birthday, baby shower and challenge card, but only the shower card is needed immediately.  Wish me luck because I have no ideas at all for it......Thanks for popping in to visit and have a wonderful summery day.

Until next ime,

Get Well Card

Hello friends.... just popping in to share a card I made for my step Mom who was not doing so well.  She was in the hospital but is now home, not 100% but is on the mend.  I made this card to let her know we were thinking about her. And she really liked it........ I used a new stamp set from Catherine Pooler's new Store. It's called wild blooms and I love it.  I embossed with versa mark then added color directly on top of the versa mark then stamped and heated up.   Also embossed the sentiment the same way and added few sequins and there you have it!  I have another card made and took a picture but having trouble getting it to copy here.  I 'll keep trying, it's bound to work at some point......... Anyway that' it for today.  Happy Monday evening all.

Until next time,

Fun in the Sun

Happy Wednesday.....Here is a cute little summer vellum card that I made and am sending off to someone, not sure who yet.  I found this pattern in one of my Vellum pattern books.  My small group of card friends had a challenge to make a card or project using the colors: Orange, Green, Pink and Yellow and it had be a summer card.  It is a bit hard to see but I did use all the colors on the card, the pink and orange are hard to tell apart, but I did use them. Well I like it and hope who ever gets does too...

Thanks for popping by and hope you are having a great summer...... That's all for today.

Until next time,

Cards made this week

Hello crafty peeps.  I made a few cards with my new Altenew layering stamps.  These are from the "Beautiful Day" set.  The first is a get will for a sweet friend in one of my card groups, Nancy.  The next one is birthday card for a 99 yr young lady, Irene, whom I do not know but was asked to make a card for from a fellow card maker in a group I belong to.  She is trying to get 99 cards sent to Irene for her special day.  So that it and here they are.

Well I hope you got some inspiration from me, I am loving these stamps from Altenew......just in case anyone was thinking of getting them, they are wonderful.  And fairly easy to use .   Thanks for stopping by and have a great up coming week!

Organizing Tips?

Hello and Happy Saturday to all the crafty peeps out in blog land.   So I have been thinking for the past few days that I really really need to some how come up with some way of organizing all my stamps (clear, cling and rubber).  Right now they live in photo boxes and plastic tubs with no organization at all... I hate it and I am wanting to do something better.  So I am asking all of you, How do you organize your stamps?  And do any of you keep them cataloged on your computer or similar?   I have been hearing about a new App called "Evernote" that some people are using but have not looked at it yet?   So tell me how you keep organized b/c I have got to come up with something or purge a good bit.... just takes to long to find what I want right now, LOL.  So folks help a crafty girl out and give me some good tips................. Any and all tips appreciated! :)

3 for 3

Hello from cloudy rainy Texas... Since I had to be inside due to rainy weather an back/hip issues I figured it would be a good day to work on a few cards.  They are all Birthday Cards.  I is for my Niece for her 16th birthday and I did a Shaker card.  One is for a very good friend of my Husband who collects Dragon and love anything Celtic.   And the last one is for a sweet Gal Friend who's turning 59 next week, she was the first friend I made when I moved to Texas 34 years ago.  Boy it really is hard to believe we have been friends that long! I added a bit of wink of Stella to all the flowers but the picture does not show it, but it really shimmers nicely.  Anyway here are the 3 cards.  Love to hear what you think too.  And Thanks for popping by to visit.

Have Thursday to all.

Until next time

1 more card made this past week

Hello, here is one of my last 2 cards for the week.  Used all items from the Stamp of Approval box from Stamp Nation, by Catherine Pooler.   These come out every so many months, can't remember how often but they always have a wonderful assortment of stamps, dies and sometimes embellishments too.   This card is  for Mother's Day.  The "YOU" is a die as are the hearts and they have glossy accents on them not so sure it shows that well in this pic. Everything else is stamped.   I love it!  Thanks for popping by and have a beautiful Sunday.

P.S. will try to get the last card put together and post later today, no promises though, LOL....

Until next time

Next to last Birthday Card for May finished!

OK, Ok, I know I said this was going to be the last birthday card but I left someone out by mistake so there will be on more birthday card coming before I get on to Mother's day cards.  This was fun to make it's from a kit with Downton Abbey theme.  It was a PBS show for those who do not know of it.   I loved the show and this set is nice.  Here is the card I came up with for a friend in one of my dearest friends.

Another Birthday Card Done

Hello from wet and soggy TX.   Was nice earlier today but rain is moving in again.  So today I found a little bit of time to make another birthday card.  Now I only need 1 more birthday card before I can start on Mother's Day....... So this card was made with a scrap of champagne colored and embossed card stock.  I used momento inks to give color to the raised embossed area and cut to fit the card.  Then I stamped flowers around a cut out circle from scraps and stamped the sentiment in the middle.  I added a paper flower colored again with momento inks.  Also added a bit of color around the edges of all card.  All in all it's a cute card and I am happy with it.

Thanks for stopping by and have a fabulous evening.........

Until next time,

Last Weeks Cards

Hello Crafty friends!  I made several cards last week and am just finding the time to share them with you now.  As you know I belong to Stamp Nation and Stamp Junkies (on face book) groups.  The new thing this year seems to stencils and I wanted to play with the few I had so these are the cards I came up with.  Stamp Nation had a bunch of stencil classes going on and Stamp Junkies had a challenge so I combined the two and made the cards here.   Both are done with stencils I bought years ago from Walmart and never used.  I really like the way the came out and both are going in the mail tomorrow to 2 other crafty card maker friends.  Hope you like them as much as I do and that maybe I'll inspire you to play with your stencils too, LOL.....

That's it peeps.  Hope you dig out your stencils and make some cool cards.  I will be doing more with them I'm sure of it.......

Until Next Time,
Tootles

2nd Christmas card 2016

OK peeps, here's my 2nd card made for Christmas 2016.   I have entered this card in the Christmas Card Challenge over at: Weekly Christmas card Challenge.   All that is required is that the card be for Christmas or Winter related and then they have a twist that you can or can not do with the card.  This week it was a Color optional thing.  Here are the colors we could use and I liked them so hence my card.  Made with Outline stickers and Alcohol Markers and some Glitter Paper, that all!  Easy Peasy and I am liking it actually...

Thats all I got for you.... Have a happy fabulous Monday where ever you are.................

Until Next Time,

A few more cards to start off the New Year

Hello again Peeps.  Today I want to share 3 cards, all made for Friends.  Two are birthday cards and one is a Sympathy card.   First up is the Sympathy Card, background was again made with my Brusho Powders, Can you tell I really like using these, LOL.  Then stamped the flowers and butterfly in versa mark, black ink.  I then fussy cut a shape for the sentiment and stamped it in the same black ink.  Attached sentiment to card with pop dots.

UP next is a birthday card for Man who is a friend of a friend and we do not know to well as of yet, but we where invited to help celebrate his birthday so I  needed to make a card.  All I knew is that he loves to feed the deer in his yard so hence this card came to mind.  The tree die is form Taylored Expressions and the deer is Spellbinders.  And the Happy Birthday dies I can not recall....sorry

And now for the last and my favorite card....  This one is for My Mom's best friend, Jean, who we had a surprise party for earlier today.  And she loved the card! YAY!   I used an edibility's die from Crafter's Companion for the top and bottom back pieces.  Added some bling stones after I embossed the pieces with a lattice folder.  I put the bling where the lattice crossed.   I also embossed some vellum with a floral embossing folder and topped the other to die pieces to it top and bottom.  Then added the flowers (added fine glitter to them) and a Hat Pin with some spare beads to match.  Also stamped the sentiment in black versa mark ink.  I think that's it for this card.  It's one of my favorites.  And Jean loved so it made me happy.................

Well here's to another year of card making, so far so good.  Have a wonderful Sunday and hope you are having fun doing what you love....

Until next time

1st Christmas Card for 2016

Hi friends, I joined a challenge site for Christmas card making.  It's called: Christmas Card Challenges.  I joined in an effort to get me to make more cards so I won't be pushing in December to get all my cards made, we shall see if this works.  Sounded like a good idea anyway.  So here is the 1st card I made.  Used my Brusho Powders to make the back ground then stamped the different snowflakes all over for the background.  The stamps are from The Ton, I think...as is the sentiment.  Was a very quick card to make and I will probably make a few more like it as I like easy!
Now for the card:

So we shall see if I am able to keep up, I hope so......

Until next time
