Card for Male friend

Hello all. I made this card last week and forgot to post it here.  Life just gets in the way sometimes!  This was made for one of our dear friends who said he wanted a Guiness and a Turkey Leg for his birthday, so this is what I came up with.

He absolutely loved it.  I make him a card every year.  This year he made me come into the dining room and pulled out a wood box and said I have every card you have ever made for me and for Allie, his girlfriend, right here in this special box.  I was must say I was so surprised and happy they have kept each and everyone!  That meant a lot to me.  Makes making these cards that much more meaningful for me!

That's it for tonight, bed time for me, early day of work tomorrow.

Until next time

More Vellum....

Hello everyone.  It's a dreary, rainy, humid day here and a good one to just stay inside.  So I thought I make a card from a vellum pattern I made 2 night back.  Just added it to some teal card and added bling to dress it it up a bit more.  Used copics to lightly add color to the flowers and leaves and that's it.  Going to friend having a birthday in a few weeks.Think I am going to try to finish putting the last of my die cuts in albums today, hopefully that it is.  Thanks for popping by and hope you all have a great Wednesday!

Also entering this one in a challenge over at:  Southern Girls Challenge

Until next time,

Tried a new background

Hello Everyone!  Well I hope all of you had a nice weekend.  I decided after a few other friends I chat with online tried a new way to do backgrounds that I'd give it a go.  This was shown on split coast stampers last week, and I think it's called Bokeh Backgrounds.
Basically you get some watercolor paper wet it down a bit, then with a water brush add some color from re-inkers all over the paper.  I found that I am not very talented at this, LOL.  I made 2 with the re-inkers and then decided I would use dauber and ink from a pad, after it dries you get some stencil type shapes and add shapes all over in a random way in white ink.  I chose circles like the tutorial b/c I like that then add a sentiment and bling if you choose to.  Well here's my attempt, not bad for my 1st try at this.  I like doing these so I will probably do some more....

There you have it.... Think I will go back to playing with parchment today.  But I will leave you with a cute picture, I am a Downtown Abby BBC show addict so hence the picture.  Have a great day and thanks for popping by.

Until next time,
