A few Birthday Cards

Good Afternoon and Happy Saturday!  I want to send a warm welcome to all my new followers and of course to all of you who drop by and follow me here.  I read and love all your wonderful comments.  Thank You!

OK, Now for 2 birthday cards I made earlier this week.  The 1st one up is one for my nieces 15th birthday. She loves turtles and her fave color is yellow, so this is what I came up with:

And here's the inside too:
Made this cad with the turtl digi I had in my files but unfortunately i failed to name who I got it from, sorry.  Colored it with Copics and fussy cut it out.  Added tiny white bow to top of presents, form Wal-mart.   Flowers are from Recollections.  Used  cuttle bug embossing folder, b/c I thought it kind of looked like the turtle's shell.  The green enamel dots are recollections also.  The die cut is from Spellbinders that I had for ages.  I used the cut out from the die cut to make a yellow space to match the front and stamped sentiment from Anna Griffin in blue.  Also stamped yellow tiny flower in corner also from Anna Griffin.  And that's it.....

I also made a birthday card for a dear friend, who loves to get handmade cards, Maria E.  She loves Stargazer Lilies, Shoes and the color purple, we both like all of theses actually!  So I made this card for her this year:

OK, here I used another Spellbinder Die and the shoe die is from Top Dog Dies.  The flowers are from a Google search for lilies coloring pages.  It was a quixcke card but I really like the end product.  Hope you all do too.

Pocket Card

Morning everyone.  I had to make a card for my card groups weekly challenge this week and the idea was to make a shaped card of a thing, not just a square or circle.  It actually had to be something.  So I have been wanting to try my hand at a pocket card. And so I decided on a flower pot pocket card.  I am very happy with the out come.  There are so many tutorials out there for this type of card.  I watched several and then just made this one from memory.  I did not add a sentiment yet, because I am not sure who the receiver will be.  Here is a link to one tutorial that was the easiest for me to follow:  Steph's Paper Crafting.

Steph made it very easy to make this card. If you get the chance follow the link above to the tutorial and see for your selves.  And tell her I sent you, Please.  Well that's all for today.  Thanks so very much for coming by and do leave me some love.....

What a nice surprise!

Howdy crafty peeps.  I was given a nice surprise when I checked email this morning.  I was given the honor of the Liebester Award from another creative card maker, Greta, of GG Creations.  WOW, I am just tickled she thought that much of  my blog to honor me this way.  Thank you from the bottom of my heart, Greta.  Now if I understand I must pass this honor forward to other crafters that I feel deserve the honor and have under 500 followers.  And I believe I am to set up 11 questions for my nominees to answer so we can learn a bit about them.  So I am off to come up with my questions and my nominations and will pop back tomorrow with all of this done.

Again Thank You Greta, I feel special today. :)   And thanks to everyone who stops by and leaves me such wonderful comment love, you are all so special to me.

Until next time,

Thank You's

Hi all and very rainy Saturday here and also very gray out.  Yesterday I decided to make a few Thank You cards.  I like to make 6 or 8 at a time in the same theme.  I use them a lot in my Pet Sitting biz, so make them several times a year.  The stamps I used about 1 inch square and they came with a set of Gelatos I purchased a year ago and have yet to play with.  I used Momento Ink on all and in shades that are lighter and darker than one another.  Added some ribbon (from Walmart) & paper flowers (Hobby Lobby) just above the stamping and then stamped the Thank You (Hero Arts, I think!).  And Voila a simple card.  Made these all up in less than 1 hour.  And here they are:
So that's all for now.  Hope you all have a fun weekend.  I am off to work on some Christmas card Ideas.  Promised myself I would get mine done early this year, yeah I know, we'll see how it goes LOL!
Thanks for stopping by and do leave some comment love, I promise I read them and appreciate all of you popping by.......

Until next time

Another RAK (Random Act of Kindess) Card

Hello all.  Boy have we been having a few days of cooler weather here in TX 43 right now.  But at least we don't have snow and below 0 temps, thankful for that much.  Well as you all know my card group has a weekly challenge, just for fun and here is my card for last week.  It was to be a card for a male and we had to use 4 items from a list of things.  I chose grey card stock, nature stamp, embossing folder and gate fold.  And here is the card.
So  I started by making the gate fold card base then embossed front flaps only.  Used SB EF.  I then added the grey and Yellow scrap paper from my stash and also added a few black gems to opposite corners.  Die cut a the white frame and cut grey card to fit inside the middle and stamped in black Momento ink the Poppies from Just Right Stamps, and attached this to one side of the front flaps.  I decided it needed more pop so I added more black gems to frame it a bit and the little tiny white flowers and a tiny white bow (from Wal mart sewing section).  Not sure how manly it is but there you have it.  This going to card making friend, who is male, and is a retired art teacher and who makes wonderful cards also.  The inside of the card says " You are in my garden of friends".

That's all I have for now.  Still need to get my card for this week's challenge done, but I have been trying to organize my craft area and we all know how that can go, LOL.  Wish me luck.

Until next time
Stay warm, where ever you are
