Matchbook Treat Holder

Hi to all our Crafty Peeps.  Chris here, back again with another Sunday, Easy Project for the Stamping Shack Blog where I am a DT.   How about a Matchbook Treat Holder project today.  This so easy and makes wonderful little Thank you's for Teachers, Good Grades, Favors for Birthday parties, the list could go on and on..... The best part is this is so easy to make you could make a bunch in a very short time.  I used the digi image "Shy Goth Girl" from the Goth Kidz Range at the Stamping Shack Store. Now for this fun how to.

You will need to have the following on hand

Supplies:
Card Stock
Scor - Pal
Markers or Color Pencils
Printed Digi Image
Embellishments of your choosing
Treat
Stapler and staples

Step 1:
Cut your chosen card stock to  8 ½" x 3".

Step 2:
Score card stock at 1" and 5".

Step 3:
Decorate the outside with your printed and colored Digi image and other embellishments of your choice. ( Color your image how ever you decide, I used Copic  Markers) The image I choose is from The Stamping Shack Store in the Goth Kidz Range.  And is called Shy Goth Girl. Then add all your embellishments.

Step 4:
Fold into the matchbook shape.  Staple Mini treat inside at the bottom fold and slip folded top in under bottom flap. I also added a bit of paper over the staple to make it more eye pleasing and to hide the staple.  And there you have it!

See I told you it would be easy and isn't it cute too.

Thanks for stopping by on this wonderful Sunday.  Now go play in your craft area!  And don't forget to stop by the Stamping Shack blog often to see what goodies my other team mates have in store for you.

Until next time

Another Card for the Color Challenge

Hi all you crafty peeps.  I know I told some of you to come here and see the info on the card I made for the color challenge over at the Outlawz Group, and darned if this computer of my decided to crash before I could get it published yesterday.  So I am trying again to get it up here.  Sorry to all those that came by and found nothing new, but sometimes I think computers have a mind of their own!  Any ways here is the Color Challenge Colors for this week at Outlawz Group.   We had to use Purple, Cream and Leaf green and the twist was to use fibers.  I used Paper Studio Card base in Cream.  Paper studio paper was used for the background papers and cut to size with friskars paper cutter.  I attached papers with glue stick. I stamped the image (Dress form and Stand) from Just Right Stamps and cut them out attached with glue stick them added the Lace oval frame from Recollections embellies.  I then added the little pretty flower and touched the edges with a little purple ink from Studio G.  It still needed something so I added the green and violet gems at the opposite top and bottom corners.  Also lightly dusted the lace frame with the studio G ink. And there you have it.  This is going to be sent to a friend in one of the Card Groups that I belong to as a RAK (Random act of kindeness).  And now for the card.

Well that's all I have for today.  Think I am going to get a little knitting done before I need to start thinking about what to make for dinner.  Oh and I am also teaching my self to crochet, it's harder for me than learning to knit for some reason!!  :)
Have a wonderful Saturday.

Until next time,
Happy Crafting!

Digital Art Necklace Charm

Hello and a warm welcome back from the Holidays.  I am back, sorry it's been a bit, but things are back to normal and I am ready to Craft!  So a while back when I went to a craft convention I purchased this fun ART JEWELRY KIT. It's from Craft Fantastic.   I have been wanting a reason to try it out and I was up next to do a Post a project on The Stamping Shack Blog so here is what I came up with.  Here are the most of the supplies you will need to make this:

*Bezel Tray                                                  *Digital Image
 (printed out on
  card stock to 3/4" x 3/4")
*Fantastic Glaze
*Wax Paper scrap
*Jeweller's dots
*Q-tip
*Paper Trimmer

Print your chosen image out at 3/4 x 3/4 of inch, I chose "ARTSY GIRL" from Lilliput's Range at The Stamping Shack Store, then attach a Jeweller's dot to back of image and set in Bezel Tray.  Push it in so it stays put, see picture below.

OK now take the small glass piece and put a nice puddle of fantastic glaze on the back.  I layed mine on a piece of scrap wax paper for easy clean up .  Let the glaze set up a bit it should fill all corners and be tacky.  Then take a dampened Q-tip and clean up the edges of the glass piece.
Now pop the glass piece in to the Bezel Tray that has the image in it.   Hold in place for few seconds.  If any of the glaze oozes out just clean up with the wet Q-tip. Let set up for 10 - 15 minutes on the wax paper and add to any type necklace you like.  Just a little note, I chose to use the image with out colouring it in, it looked much better this way to me. The glass piece actually magnifies the images a bit.  But you can colour it in should you chose to, my old eyes could not manage it well enough on such a tiny image size.  And here is the finished Charm ready to put on a necklace of you choice.

Sorry for the pictures not being so great, I kept getting a lot of glare.....
Well that's all I have for you today.  Hope you liked this easy fun project.  Have a wonderful Sunday and Thanks for stopping by.......

Until next time,

Shopping and a New Friend

It's Monday afternoon and I am just sitting for the first time today at 4pm.  I have had a nice day so far though.  I have been chatting with a new lady friend  that is on one of the craft forums I frequent.  We decided that it would nice to meet face to face before we go the Creative Keepsakes' Convention next month in San Marcos, TX.   We decided on meeting at a new Achievers store midway between our homes.  It was fun and my new friend, Liz, is very sweet.  She knows a lot about scrap booking and a lot about products I have never used but will now!  We spent 1 1/2 hrs browsing , talking and buying too.... it was fun to have someone who loves crafting as much as I do to shop with.  And we are making plans to meet up at the convention and shop there, better start saving my pennies now!  Now since I am planning on being able to spend a bit next month I could not spend a lot today, but I did get a couple of handy things for the craft area.  All were on sale so I didn't feel to bad, lol.  Here 's what I got.

Mini Scor-pal for cardmaking & Xyron Tape Runner

And the deal here today was that when you buy the tape runner you get another refill tape for "Free" this week only!  And there's 100 ft of tape in one and run about $10 bucks, so that was a nice savings.  Can't wait to try all of it out.  Oh almost forgot, the Scar-Pal came with a a free zipper sleeve too. Well that's my day so far today.  Click over to the Card Page to see what I dug out of my Christmas card making stash to start on the Christmas Cards List.  Everyone not only likes my handmade cards, but now they expect them.....And I hate to disappoint anyone.

Until next time...
