Tuesday Color Challenge

Evening all.  I am in love with the color choices for this week's Tuesday Color Challenge over on Outlawz.  Here is the picture of the colors we where to work with.  I found a digi that I liked in a folder of freebies I keep in on my desktop, unfortunately I am unsure who it is from.  I will try to figure it out, I know a friend told me where I could get it so I will try to find out from her and let you all know.  Isn't this the cutest outfit and child for that matter too!

 

Here is my card.  It's going to be a thank you to some friends who hosted an Adult Halloween Party over the past weekend.  I used all Paper Studio papers (the red and brown papers are actually a little shimmery) and then  cut them to size with small paper cutter.  Glued all to a 4 x 5 1/2 card base with Xyron Tape runner. Digi image was pre colored, I just used the largest spellbinders die from Labels 4 to die cut image with Grand Calibur.  Sponged on some orange chalk with a dauber before removing die from image, which gives you the white border.  Attached to card with foam tape mini squares. I then added the flower and leaf from Soft Spoken embellies.  Not sure the glitzy bling works but it's on there now!  I think it says Fall don't you??

Happy Monday and some good news

Hello everyone.  Hope ya'll had a wonderful weekend.  I am feeling tons better now that the migraine has seased!  So first I want to welcome another new follower, Katie.  Glad your here and hope you'll visit often.  And I just want to say that I hope everyone up in the northeast is safe and that the hurricane does not harm any of you or your families, your in my prayers!

And now for some good news, we all love good news right?  Well yesterday, Sunday, I rec'd an email that I made it on a Design Team, woohoo, can you see my happy dance!  I will be a design team member for 6 months (Nov. - April 2013) over at a new up and coming Blog and Store, THE STAMPING SHACK.  Please visit me and all the other Fabulous DT members over on The Stamping Shack starting Nov.1st, 2012.  They are based in the UK and have some wonderful Digital stamps by some great artists.  I know you will love what you see there.  Feel free to join in the Challenges on The Stamping shack Blog too.  We'd love to see all your creativeness at work.  I am really excited to be part of such a great group of DT members!  Wish me luck and I'll do my best not to disappoint ya'll. 

I also have to tell you that I was chosen to be a Guest Design Team member over on OUTLAWZ, for the Tueaday Color Challenges for the month of November in 2012.  I was very surprised  and honored to be invited! It will be a lot of fun, I'm sure.  So be sure to check back every Tuesday in November, starting Nov. 6, 2012.  

I feel so very honored & lucky to have been chosen for both of these positions.  Guess I'll be busy coming up with new ideas now.  Better get to it!

Tuesday Color Challenge

I have a really bad Migrane headache today  so I made a fast card, it's not that great but here it is anyways.  Just don't have the mojo today, but I tried anyway.  Used some Halloween Stickers that I have around forever.

Oh Boy, Another Birthday Card!

Happy Saturday afternoon all.  I just rec'd a phone call from a friend that we are invited to another gathering of friends for a girlfriends 50th Birthday.  She is not the girlie girl, flowery type so I had to come up with something different for her.  And she is also know as the "Bag Lady" she always has what you need in a bag somewhere on her person or in her truck, really no joking!  And she didn't want a big party (it's her 50th) so a few close friends are getting together at the local pub/restaurant tomorrow afternoon. So here is the card, it's a little different for me but I know she will appreciate it.  I used this stamp from Stamps Happen called Big Girl Panties.  Have it had for a long time and this was the perfect occasion to use it.  Colored it with Faber Castel Pencils and OMS. Corner punched dots and round corner punched the white top layer then layered Paper Studio papers on the base and used the round punch on them also.  She loves green so hence all the green.  I added the black flowers since it's her 50th! (the flowers are from:Creative Imaginations, Studio Collection.  The phrase on the bag says" Put on your Big Girl Panties and Deal with It!"  I also stamped the small Happy Birthday to front from JustRite Stampers.  I like it actually, wasn't sure while making it that I would, but it turned out pretty OK. Don't you think so too?

Well that's it for today.  Need to think about dinner and plan on doing some knitting this evening, hopefully.  Have great weekend!

Birthday Card Finished

Good Morning everyone!  I have to go clean a house today but I had to share the birthday card I mentioned to you yesterday that I had in the works.  Well it's finished and I am very happy with it and I am pretty sure my friend will love it.  She expects handmade cards from our house and tells me about it if I give her store bought.  Any ways my friend is a purple fan, hence all the purple.  So I used my spellbinder to die cut 2 corners from the Parisian Accents die and also 2 different sizes from Labels 4 die.  The corset stamp & sentiment are both from Rubbernecker Stamps.  The copper flowers and sprockets I am unsure who makes these as wrapper was tossed previously, unfortunately.  I used my Xyron glue runner to add the deep purple paper on the ivory card based. Added the corner die cuts with glue pen. Then embossed the corset and phrase with dark purple powder on the other die cuts. I used haystack color chalk and daubed it around the edges and added a bit of Bling to the top and bottom of each die cut. Then they were attached to the card with foam tape squares.  I then added the copper flowers & sprockets.  It still needed something so I added the light lavender Bling to each corner die.  I also used a small corner punch on the top right and bottom right corners.  I think that it is complete now! And here is the finished product.  Isn't it pretty?
