Artsy Birthday Card

Hello there.... How is everyone?  It's been really hot here in my neck of the world....but I love warm weather luckily, LOL.  I made a fun birthday card for my niece who will 17 next week.  She is quiet a good artist, she draws so well, it amazes me.  So I made her this card.  Used water color markers scribbled on craft mat and sprayed with water then used a paint brush to tap bits of color all over the card then added the jar with brushes and the sentiment, both with foam tape.  Oh and I added glossy accents to the jar and a bit of silver paint pen to the metal rim... And then I made a booboo. I dropped the ink pad on the bottom left corner of the card and almost screamed.  But I decided to ink up the edges and see if that made it look any better, well not great but Hubby says it looks like it was meant to be there.  And being I need this in the mail today it will stay as it is, even if I a think it's not right.  No time for a do over this time..... So here is the card, tell me what ya think about the ink booboo... Yay or Nay?

Until Next Time

  1. Looks great! I think inking the edges fits the card, makes it artsy ;) - oh and I've dropped an ink or two on finished cards before, I think it's a rite of passage for us crafters, lol
