Happy Mail in da house.... :)

Hello crafty peeps.  I was a recipient to wonderful box of goodies form a new dear sweet crafting friend.  Her name is Helen Hannum.  I met her in the face book group "Stamp Junkies".  It's a fabulous group, in my opinion.  And I have left all other my groups and love this one the best.   Anyways, Helen sent a bunch of water color markers, paint brushes, palette paper, watercolor paper pad, cool sentiment stamps and a sweet card and note.  All because she saw that I was loving doing the Art Impressions watercolor scenes..... She does fabulous ones herself and not to mention she does spectacular drawings too.  I can not thank her enough for this lovely thoughtful gift..... I will have to think of something special to do for her :)      Love ya Helen and Thank You!   Here's the loot she sent me:

Now to make some cards with all my goodies, that is after the house work is done, maybe, LOL.

1st water color image

Good Morning peeps.... I tried my hand at water coloring some Art Impressions wc stamps.  I used some water color paper from Hobby lobby.  It's a cold process / 140 lb paper called "Master's Touch".  I like it.  It accepts water well and so far no warping.   I stamped images with Zig Clean Color Markers and used a #5 synthetic brush, it was a bit bendy so will try different one next time around.   I am still learning but it turned out alright.  I am going to make a card with it and will post after it's done, but here is it.
Well have a fun crafty Thursday.  Thanks for popping by too.

Just a little stamping.....

Howdy y'all.  Made a rather pretty card for a friend's up coming birthday next Wednesday.  She is super sweet and I just love her.  I hope she likes the card, she does not like a lot of fuss about her day so I always just mail her cards and leave it at that.  I used Brusho Powders for the background and then stamped the flower in Momento tuxedo black.  Stamped one extra flower and used foam tape to raise it up a bit.  Added some colored bling dots to flower centers just cause it needed something....
Used some glittery paper and black to bring it all together.  then fussy cut a little banner and stamped Happy birthday.  The inside, I used the same black and a light lavender paper,  layered and stamped one lone flower in one corner to finish the card off.  I am really digging this one.  Hope y'all like it too.  Well be sure to pop by again soon as I am making several more cards this weekend hopefully......
and now for the card:
Oh I forgot I also stamped the envy too....  Thanks for popping by.  See you again soon.

Until Next Time,

Q quickie card and some alcohol ink backgrounds

Hi Peeps, here is a super quick card I just made for a Pen Pal swap over on Stamp Nation.  Used one of the alcohol ink backgrounds I made over the weekend and used a very old floral stamp that I love and the sentiment is from Her arts form long ago also.   But i do believe it came out pretty nice!   Also here is a picture of the assorted backgrounds I did with my alcohol inks.   Just had not played with them in such a long time and came across them when looking for something else and thought why not!

Well that's it folks.  Thanks bunches for stopping by and I hope you'll leave a comment and let me know what you think of these.

Played around with backgrounds

Hello all.   I wanted to make some water color backgrounds so I pulled out my Brusho Powders and made these backgrounds.  I am thrilled with how they came out.  I still have one more panel left and no idea what I wanna do with it yet, ahh well.....  Anyway here is what I did.  I used a stamp I have had forever from Stampin Up, this perty peacock, don't ya just love her?    The other is a hero arts floral stamp.

Well was just so happy with these I just had to share with y'all....  Thanks for popping by.
