DT Post Challenge # 55 - Anything Goes

Hello and welcome back to another CWLC Challenge.  This week it's ANYTHING GOES!  So that can't be to hard for you to come on over and join in the fun, right??  Our sponsor this time around is Digi Darla,  they one of my favorite companies too.  I picked this relaxing digi called "Beach and a book".  I made a card base from the spellbinders die (grand ovals)  and also used it for cutting out the image on.  Colored the image with Copics, ran it through my Grand Cali bur and before taking the die off image I sponged on some Desert Sand ink from Momento.  Attached image with glue runner and added 3-d dimensionals to top and bottom.  And of course you all know I have to have some Bling somewhere on my cards..........So here is the finished card.

T

Be sure to stop by our blog over at CWLC Blog and see what fun things the design team has made to get your creative juices going. Thanks again for coming by and I love reading all your comments too, they sure do make my day.

Until next time,

DT Post - CWLC Blog Challenge #54 - Something Sweet

Howdy and Happy Monday everyone.  Thanks for stopping by today to see my newest DT Post for CWLC Blog.  This week's theme is "Something Sweet" and our sponsor this week is Limited Runs.  The image I used from them is called Cinnamon Swirl. I decided to print the digi on the larger side and make it the actual card. Colored the straw and cup with Copics then added some blue and red Stickles to the topping.  Then I made a small tan bow from ribbon and added to cup with glue dot.  The inside says "Have a sweet birthday".
This one has been mailed off to a sweet male friend in a card group I'm in, who  makes awesome cards, for his Birthday.  I think he will like it, at least I hope so.  Now here's the card:

I hope you decided to join us this week for this fun, fun challenge and for a chance at a great prize.  Looking forward to seeing what you come up with.  Now pop over to the CWLC Blog for some more sweet inspiration from my other team mates.

Until Next Time

DT Post Challenge #53 - Back to School

Hi there all you crafty peeps in blog land!  It's me, Chris, back again with another DT challenge card for CWLC Blog.  Challenge #53 is "Back to School" and our sponsor this week is Cedar Chest Designs.  This cute little girl image I used is named "Shy Alice".  Don't forget to pop on over to the Created With Love Challenge Blog to see all the fun things my design team mates have come up with to inspire you to play along.

This was a fairly easy card to make, just colored the digi image with copics.  Glued some scrap polka dot paper to bottom of Kraft card base and then added some school type dimensional stickers from Recollections and the digi too.  And as you all know I have a very hard time not using bling, sooo had to add some lite pink pearl swirls. I also added some faux stitching around card edges with red copic marker.  And there you have it a back to school card.  This one will be going to a dear friend, Laura, who is a elementary school teacher along with a baggy full of box tops for the school to send in........Hope you feel inspired enough to join in the challenge this week.

Thanks for stopping by today and viewing my cards.

Until next time,

DT Post for CWLC Blog - #50 Anything Goes

Happy Monday Crafty Friends.  I'm back with another DT Challenge post for Created With Love Challenges Blog.  This is one of my favs card actually, not sure why except that I love green....Anyway this week our sponsor was Bugaboo Stamps and This challenge, #50 is "Anything Goes".  And the image I rec'd is called "Love Conquers All".  I printed the digi off and added just a bit of color to the flowers and the butterflies with Copics .  Then I matted my white card with black and green bazzill card stock scraps & attached the digi with double sided tape.  Oops,I also added some green polka dot and striped washi tape to the green card stock before adding the digi. Then I decided of course it needed more pop, I love my bling!!. So I added the bow and attached with glue dot. Then I thought how about some bling, on went the pearl flourishes.  And I know you it is not visible in the picture but I did add a very light mist of Pearl Shimmer spray.  And viola, it's done.  Hope you like it.
Alrightie, that's all I have right now for you.  Thanks for stopping by and don't forget to say hello and tell me how your doing and what your up to.  Have a wonderful week.

Teenager's Room Door Hanger

Happy Sunday everyone.  It's Chris here back with another fun and easy blog project for The Stamping Shack, where I am a DT member.  This time I made Door Hanger for a Teenage Girls room.  This will be my niece's birthday gift next month.  Now on with the project.

Supplies:
Foam Board - cut to 4 x 9
Ruler
Circle Cutter
Color Pencils
Embellishments
Printed Digi
Card Stock of your choosing
Foam dots
Liquid Glue
Die, for sentiment
Blade
Nail file, large one

1. Print and color your digi with color pencils or what ever coloring item you choose.  I used color pencils. The image I chose is from the Stamping Shack store and is called " Chatty Girl" from the Lilliputs Range and  can be found here.  Color and put aside.

2. You should have a 4 x 9 piece of foam board ready to have a 2 3/4 in circle cut in the top about 1 inch down.  I filed the inside of circle with large nail file to soften inside edges a bit.

3. Now cover with your choice of card stock.  I used a pretty yellow from Bazzill. Glue to foam board and be sure to cut whole nice and even. make sure to leave enough paper to fold over the side edges and glue down. Or you can add some ribbon or lace to edges. I just stuck with paper.

4.  At this point all you need to do is place your digi where you want it.  Then die cut your sentiment and attach.  Then add any embellishments you like.  I added flowers from recollection and some bling centers, plus some rhinestones.  And here is the finished project.

You could also decorate the other side too, any way you like and make it 2 sided.  Hope you enjoyed this and have a fun Sunday.   Do stop by the Stamping Shack often as all the DT members put up some wonderful projects too.

Until next time........
    Happy Sunday

Matchbook Treat Holder

Hi to all our Crafty Peeps.  Chris here, back again with another Sunday, Easy Project for the Stamping Shack Blog where I am a DT.   How about a Matchbook Treat Holder project today.  This so easy and makes wonderful little Thank you's for Teachers, Good Grades, Favors for Birthday parties, the list could go on and on..... The best part is this is so easy to make you could make a bunch in a very short time.  I used the digi image "Shy Goth Girl" from the Goth Kidz Range at the Stamping Shack Store. Now for this fun how to.

You will need to have the following on hand

Supplies:
Card Stock
Scor - Pal
Markers or Color Pencils
Printed Digi Image
Embellishments of your choosing
Treat
Stapler and staples

Step 1:
Cut your chosen card stock to  8 ½" x 3".

Step 2:
Score card stock at 1" and 5".

Step 3:
Decorate the outside with your printed and colored Digi image and other embellishments of your choice. ( Color your image how ever you decide, I used Copic  Markers) The image I choose is from The Stamping Shack Store in the Goth Kidz Range.  And is called Shy Goth Girl. Then add all your embellishments.

Step 4:
Fold into the matchbook shape.  Staple Mini treat inside at the bottom fold and slip folded top in under bottom flap. I also added a bit of paper over the staple to make it more eye pleasing and to hide the staple.  And there you have it!

See I told you it would be easy and isn't it cute too.

Thanks for stopping by on this wonderful Sunday.  Now go play in your craft area!  And don't forget to stop by the Stamping Shack blog often to see what goodies my other team mates have in store for you.

Until next time

A Card for Mum

Well It's time again for another Challenge over at The Stamping Shack blog, where I am on the Design Team.  This time the theme is "A Card for Mum".  I know your thinking it's early for Mother Day but in the UK Mother's Day is March 10th this year.  So come on over and join in and show us your creative cards for MUM.  I chose the image " Daisy with flowers" from the Oscar and Daisy range and can be purchased over at the stamping shack store.

I colored my printed digi with Copic markers. I don't know if many of you Spellbinder fans use wax paper with your dies to cut cleanly. Well I do and look at what you can do with the die cut wax paper image, neat right?  The die is called Floral Ovals.  I wanted this card to be very "sparkly", so added tons of bling and I mean tons for me, LOL. Even used bling for her eyes.  The beautiful flowers are from       and I added some white stickles to the inside petals for even more sparkly effects.  I am not the sparkly kind but am learning to like it.  I think this card is really just to adorable!  Not sure who is going to be the lucky recipient yet b/c I have to make 6 mum's day cards for family and friends this year.  But Not bad for the first one, right?

Well that's all is have for today.  Be sure to head over to the Blog and check out all the inspiration form my other talented team mates. Thanks for popping by and visiting.  Leave me some Comment Love if your so inclined.....

More Easter and St. Patrick's Day

Good evening all.  As I promised I am back with two more cards to share.  I made another Easter card and a St.Patrick's day card for my step Dad.  The first card is similar to the other Easter Card but it's just A4 die cut with the grand nestabilities oval and embossed.  Added some orange and green flowers and spellbinder Leaf die cuts.  Used a Fancy Tag die and of course added more bling rhinestone swirls  The Shamrocks card is very basic, just patterned shamrock paper cut slightly smaller than the card base. Added small panel of dark green paper with 2 - 3dimensional shamrocks and a bit of green twine.  Like I said very basic, but suits my needs.  Now here are the cards:

Well that's all I have for you tonight.  But do check back tomorrow morning for another Card for the Challenge that's starting at the Stamping Shack where I am a DT member.

Until next time,
  Sweet dreams
